1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AmanaLearn ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account:

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent)
• One person per account (no sharing credentials)
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

3. Free and Paid Content

Free Courses

• Accessible to anyone without payment
• May be modified or removed at our discretion
• Progress is saved locally for guest users, or in your account if registered
• Optional Cloud Sync add-on ($2.49/mo) keeps free-course progress and notes synced across devices
• Certificates for free courses are available as a $5 add-on after completion

Paid Courses

• One-time purchase grants lifetime access to that specific course
• Prices are clearly displayed before purchase (typically $19-$149 based on depth)
• Payments processed securely through Stripe
• All sales are final (see Refund Policy below)
• Course content may be updated; you get access to all updates
• Cloud Sync and certificates are included with paid courses
• If a purchased course must be deprecated for compliance or safety reasons, we will:
  • Provide a replacement course of equal or greater value, or
  • Offer a downloadable archive or long notice window before removal

4. Refund Policy

Courses

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for paid courses:

• Request a refund within 7 days of purchase
• Refunds available if you've completed less than 25% of course content
• Contact support with your receipt/transaction ID
• Refunds processed within 5-7 business days
• Access to the course is revoked upon refund

No refunds after 7 days or if 25% of content consumed, except in cases of technical issues that prevent course access.

Cloud Sync add-on (subscription for free courses)

• Cancel anytime from your account settings
• Pro-rated refund available within 7 days of billing date
• No refunds for partially used months beyond 7-day window
• Access continues until end of billing period after cancellation

1-on-1 Tutoring Sessions

• No refunds for tutoring sessions (time-based service)
• Must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before session start
• Cancellations within 24 hours = session forfeited, no refund
• No-shows count as used sessions, no refund or makeup
• Technical issues on our end = free rescheduling or refund

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Download, copy, or redistribute course materials without permission
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt our services
• Post offensive, harmful, or illegal content
• Impersonate other users or staff
• Use the platform for commercial purposes without authorization

Violation may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

Tutoring Session Guidelines

1-on-1 tutoring sessions are for guidance and mentoring, not completing your work:

• Tutoring is for learning concepts, debugging help, and career advice
• We will NOT do your homework, assignments, or take-home tests
• We will NOT write code for your projects without your active participation
• Sessions must be respectful and professional at all times
• Recording sessions requires prior consent from both parties

Violation of these guidelines may result in session termination without refund and potential account suspension.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, including text, videos, images, quizzes, and interactive exercises, is owned by AmanaLearn or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Access and view content for personal, non-commercial learning
• Download materials explicitly marked as downloadable (e.g., certificates, worksheets)

You may NOT sell, redistribute, or publicly display our content without written permission.

7. Certificates and Credentials

• Certificates are issued upon successful course completion
• Certificates verify completion but are not accredited certifications
• You may share certificates on LinkedIn, resumes, or portfolios
• AmanaLearn is not responsible for how third parties recognize our certificates

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

No Guarantees

We strive to provide high-quality education, but we cannot guarantee:

• Specific learning outcomes or job placement
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Courses will meet your specific needs

Limitation of Liability

AmanaLearn is not liable for:

• Lost data or progress due to technical issues
• Third-party service disruptions (Supabase, Stripe, etc.)
• Decisions made based on course content

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse our support or refund policies

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Paid course access is revoked upon account deletion.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
